What is Inhibition? - 2 great Articles by British AT instructor Jeff Hall

One of the most central concepts of the Alexander-Technique, may be even the most important one is also the hardest to define. F. M. Alexander basically says

You are not here to do exercises or to learn to do something right, but to get able to meet a stimulus that always puts you wrong and to learn to deal with it. - F. M. Alexander

So we are supposed to meet a stimulus and deal with it. But what does that mean exactly? And how we do go about it? How do we learn to "deal with the stimulus"?

Jeff Hall sheds some light on the matter with two very recommended articles from his blog:

Can we define "Inhibtion"?
