One of the most central concepts of the Alexander-Technique, may be even the most important one is also the hardest to define. F. M. Alexander basically says
You are not here to do exercises or to learn to do something right, but to get able to meet a stimulus that always puts you wrong and to learn to deal with it. - F. M. Alexander
So we are supposed to meet a stimulus and deal with it. But what does that mean exactly? And how we do go about it? How do we learn to "deal with the stimulus"?
